![]() ![]() No matter what faction you want to play, the best way to start is by buying a core of ships that will give you plenty of options for building a squad up front and the ability to easily add new ships as they release in the future. Since the Core Set features ships from the Galactic Empire and Rebellion factions, these are the easiest to expand play after buying a Core Set. When you build a squad ( covered in the next chapter), your pilots will all be from the same faction. Speaking of factions, it is worth understanding that there are seven factions in X-Wing Second Edition. ![]() It may seem like a bit of a waste to buy more of the same ships, but two core sets is a great way to start building your Rebellion and Galactic Empire factions! This will give each player their own damage deck and template set. While you only need one core set to play X-Wing, you will need a core set for every player.
